1917 – June to August – a member of the Union of railway workers.
1917 from September is at Gretna , address “c/o S Pearsons Sons, F M Factory, Gretna “ having been transferred to S Pearson and Sons for munitions work as an electrician on 18th August 1916 by the Royal Garrison Artillery. His regimental number:- 352234
S Pearson and Sons was the largest engineering company in the World at the time
