Alfred Edgar[d] Beveridge was born in Eastleigh, Hampshire on 3rd December 1897 to William and Beatrice Maud nee Mitchell.
1901-44 ,Wyndham Terrace,Eastleigh. Father a painter at the railway works
1911 27 ,Dutton Lane, Eastleigh, Hants -Apprentice Smith LSW railway. Father brigade fireman LSW railway. 5 rooms . Second of 6 boys.B/B/B/B/B/B
1917 – June to August – a member of the Union of railway workers.
1917 from September is at Gretna , address “c/o S Pearsons Sons, F M Factory, Gretna “ having been transferred to S Pearson and Sons for munitions work as an electrician on 18th August 1916 by the Royal Garrison Artillery. His regimental number:- 352234
S Pearson and Sons was the largest engineering company in the World at the time
1921 living in shton under Lyne. Also in the house are George Henry and Martha.
7th August 1922 married Clara Thorpe , a weaver at Ashton under Lyne. Alfred an electrician.
