Charles Hindson 1883-1941

Charlie Hindson was born in Carlisle  on 17th October 1883 to Peter James Hindson and Agnes Wood Armstrong. In 1881 his parents lived at 46 Nelson Street , Carlisle

1891-16 Nelson St, Carlisle. Father a joiner. Charles 4th of 8 children. B/G/B/B/G/G/B/G

1901- 8 Red Villas, Botchergate, Carlisle. A learner at Post Office.

1911-20, Currock Rd, Carlisle ,Postal clerk aged 27.7 rooms , 8 children 2 had died. Charles signed census – his father had died.

1921 – listed as an ex Gretna worker living in Carlisle with Charles, Eleanor, Beatrice and 1 other. It is not known what he did at Gretna but possibly clerical.

January 1922 -married Mary Isabella Irving in  Carlisle. Son born.

1926 – daughter born

1939-20 Caldew St, Carlisle. Unemployed insurance agent.

25th January 1941 died at Carlisle Fever hospital of 20 Caldew St., Carlisle aged 58
