Christopher Wilson was born in Casterton, near Kendal, Westmorland, on 26th March 1861 to Henry Wilson and Jane nee Stephenson.

1861 census – living a High Casterton, Norwood Farm at paternal grandparents house with his mother.

1871- living ta Barbon, close to Casterton. Father an agricultural labourer. Christopher eldest of 5 children. B/G/G/BG

1881 – living at Barbon. Father and Christopher geral labourers.

15th July 1885 married Alice Maychell Howson at Barbon

1891- Living at Kirk Lee?? , Chipping, Lancaster. A police constable . 3 daughters.

1901- Blackburn Road, Heapey, Lancashire. Police sergeant.

1911- Police Sergeant, Lancashire County Constabulary. Living at Walton-le-Dale police station, Preston. 6 rooms. Had 9 children, 7 living.

WW1 – too old for military service – possibly served with Gretna Police.

1921- living at Kirkandrews Nether, Longtown, Carlisle and listed as a retired Gretna worker. Christopher, Alice Maychell, Christopher Henry and 1 other on the record.

1939- living at Norwood Sheep Hill Lane New Longton, Preston. A retired police sergeant.
