Donald Cecil Longmire 1901-1987
Donald Cecil Longmire was born on 25th March 1901 to Frederick and Prudence Mary nee Matthews at 3 Hazeldene, Hereford. Father a chemist and druggist manager ,born Carlisle.
1911-Staying with childless aunt and uncle at 180 Greystone Rd, Carlisle. Uncle a Railway engine driver. Older brother also there. 4 rooms
1914 – too young for military service. Engaged at Gretna as listed in 1921 census as an ex Gretna worker.
1916 –joined in Royal Navy .
1921- Carlisle
July 1932 married Catherine Louise Goodenough in Kendal.
1939-2 Sepulchre Lane , Kendal-Window cleaner. Catherine – a school caretaker Indication of 2 children
July 1987 died in Kendal
