Childhood: An only child. Born in Bristol but his childhood appears to be in London. 1871 in St. Pancras; 1881 at 45 Sussex Place, Kensington. By 1891 he is married and living in Norwood, Battersea with his wife and one Servant.

Egerton Sayer was the electrical engineer working at Mossband. He continued to work as an electrical engineer after the War.
Egerton was born in Clifton in Bristol in 1864, the son of John Saunders and Alice Emma Sayer. John was a Scientific Lecturer. The family moved to London and Egerton married Marion in Wandsworth in 1891. They lived in Battersea, Willesden and then Hampstead. Egerton worked as Assistant Chief Electrical Engineer for the Hampstead Electric Lighting committee. They had three children, Frank B, Gladys L and Daphne Edith N. On the 1911 census, Gladys is a pianist. Later Frank becomes a GPO wireless telegrapher and Daphne follows her father to work at HM Gretna. Egerton worked as the electrical engineer at Mossband.
Egerton died in Finchley on 11th April 1927.
