Member of polices forces in London during World War One before moving to HM Factory Gretna to police munitions workers and finally transferring to Carlisle.  After World War One, Ethel moved to Preston in June 1919 before finally ending up in Nottingham in November 1920. 


Images of Ethel Davies in The Nottingham Journal and Nottingham Evening Post on 15th September 1949 and Nottingham Evening Post on 3rd October 1949 on retirement from thirty years of working for the Nottinghamshire Police and retiring as an Inspector.
