Email from grandson of Helen, in March 2020: ‘My grandmother, Helen Wylie of Eastriggs and/or Kirkpatrick Fleming, worked in the munitions factory during WWI. She met there my grandfather, Harry Yates of New Mills, Derbyshire, who was posted there from the army….My recollection from family folklore is that Helen Wylie lived at home while she worked on munitions. They had a farm close by.’
