John English 1854- 1926

John English was born in Longtown, near Carlisle, Cumberland in 1854 to James and Margaret nee Irving. The 3rd of 3 sons

1861- visitor at the Irvings at Albert Street, Longtown.

1871- Solway Street, Rickergate with older brother William

Q2 1875- married Ann McCall

1881- Eden Terrace, Stanwix. A blacksmith. Wife Ann and 1 son.

1891- Eden Terrace. 1 son aged 15 a fitter. John a black and whitesmith.

1901- 13 Fusehill Street, Blacksmith. Son 26 and his wife also at this address.

1911- 13 Close Street, 4 rooms. Son and wife present and they have 2 children.
