1911- 1 Gates Court, No 2 Brook Street, Carlisle. Mother widowed .7 people in 3 rooms. 8 children born , 7 surviving.
WW1- too young for active service- employed at H M Factory Gretna.
1921 – listed as an ex Gretna worker . John Robert, Jane Ann, Jessie and 1 other are on the record.
