The Annandale Observer is not currently digitized, however a volunteer on this project is manually searching the physical copies of this paper stored at The Devil’s Porridge Museum. Johnson was mentioned in the AO on 01/02/1918 at p. 5 and column 3. He was described as a ash wheeler living at Butt Rigg, Greencroft Wynd, Annan and the details of the entry were ‘Eastriggs Constable Assaulted.’
