Additional information

Mary Hermione Feildon appears to have possessed a natural flair for any aspect of theatre! Born into the family of a rural Rector in Derbyshire, after the 1891 census all trace of her has so far eluded any sign until we find her stationed in the police at Gretna and organizing theatrical revues! She met and married John Henry Money in 1920. John ran a successful band and Hermione joined the local amateur dramatic group, the Heckington Strollers. Several of their performances were reported in the local Sleaford press. However, in 1922 the couple were blessed with twin boys, and this might account for the sudden stopping of reports of am dram! Her husband was a widower with a child from his previous marriage. Tragically, one of the twins, Walford, died in 1925.  During the 1930’s the family moved to Sutton in Surrey but by the time of the 1939 were living in a small village in Dorset, near Chesil Beach and Abbotsbury.  John died in the mid 1950’s in Chichester whilst Mary passed away in Oxted, Surrey on 27 May 1977.
