William Morris Jones 1895-1935
William Morris Jones was born on 3rd July 1895 at Merthyr, Carmarthenshire to Robert and Catherin Ann nee Williams. The youngest of 4 children.
1901 – 28 Chapel Street, Merthyr Tydfil, father a farm engine driver.
1911- 26 Pantglas Rd, Aberfan .5 rooms. Father colliery engine man. They have had 11 children , only 3 survived. William at 16 is a colliery boy hewer.
WW1 in the Royal Army Medical Corps ( RAMC) discharged with a disability – military service pension record.
1916- motor driver at H M Factory Gretna.
10th January 1921-married Mary Ellen Capel in Cardiff. They had 4 children.
1921 – living at Llanpumsaint, Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire and listed as an ex Gretna worker. William Morris, William and 7 others are on the record.
12th January 1935 died at Cardiff aged 39
