Please be aware that The Devil’s Porridge Museum and Café will be closed over the festive holiday season in 2026 / 2027. Dates to be confirmed.
Admission Prices.
- Adults: £10.00
- Concessions, Over 60s, Children (aged 5-16): £9.50
- Under 5s: Free
- Family Ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children): £27.50
- School Groups £4.50 (per student, by prior arrangement)
- Carers: Free
Carers: Any paying disabled person can bring an essential carer with them for free. Remember to bring proof of your Carer status with you on the day of your visit. Read more about accessibility by clicking here>
Dogs: Our dog friendly days are on Thursdays and Sundays. Well-behaved, dry dogs on leads are welcome into The Devil’s Porridge Museum on these days. Guide and assistance dogs are always welcome. You can read more about our dog friendly days by clicking here>
Gift Aid: If you Gift Aid your admission ticket on arrival (no extra charge) you will be able to visit again for free for the entire year.
Group Bookings: We are delighted welcome group bookings by appointment all year. It is essential to book your group visit and any food your group would like in advance, so we can have everything ready for your visit. You can learn more about group visits by clicking here>

For children: Each child is given “factory pass” to stamp as they visit the Ground Floor, and a Devil’s Porridge Museum badge at the front desk once completed. Please note this badge is exclusively for children! We have interactive games and touch screens with videos.

Finding Us
We are located on the B721 between Annan and Gretna. With easy access from the A75 between Gretna and Dumfries and minutes from the M6 motorway. We are a 20 minute drive from the centre of Carlisle.
Public Transport
We are on the 79 Carlisle to Annan bus route. The bus stops almost immediately outside the museum. For more details on bus times, see:

Cycle to Us

Electric Car Charging Points
We do not have any electric charging points at The Devil’s Porridge Museum.
The closest charging point is currently about 10 minutes away on the B721 at Tesco’s in Annan. There is also electric car charging points about 15 minutes away at Welcome Break in Gretna Green.
