Scotia Crafters 2026

Sunday 16th August to Sunday 30th August 2026

10am – 4pm

(Open from 11am to 4pm on Sunday 16th August to allow for setting up!)

Where?

The Devil’s Porridge Museum’s Education Room.

Entry into the Scotia Crafters exhibition ONLY is free. Admission prices will still apply for anyone visiting to look around The Devil’s Porridge Museum.

What?

Looking for the perfect handmade gift, or perhaps just that special something? Come along and see the Scotia Crafters at The Devil’s Porridge Museum.

We’re delighted them back in the museum again this year. The Scotia Crafters will have an Arts and Crafts Market of quality, local, handmade, crafts within The Devil’s Porridge Museum. This will include:

  • Hand knits;
  • Jewellery;
  • Soaps and Body Care;
  • Needle felting;
  • Crochet art;
  • Cards;
  • Unique gifts;
  • And much more!

Our team at The Devil’s Porridge Museum always love to see the beautiful handmade items the Scotia Crafters have, so maybe you will too?

Entry into the Scotia Crafters’ Arts and Crafts Market is free. For those wishing to explore The Devil’s Porridge Museum,  our usual admission prices apply.

 

Who are the Scotia Crafters?

The Scotia Crafters is a collective of artists, makers and craftspeople, all based in Dumfries and Galloway Scotland.

Warhammer Club 2026

When is Warhammer Club?

Tuesday evenings starting on Tuesday 13th January 2026.

6pm to 8pm.

Who Can Come to Warhammer Club?

This club is for everyone who has an interest in Warhammer, whether you’re new to the game or a seasoned player.

 (The minimum recommended age for this club is 8 years old.)

What to Expect from Warhammer Club

Have you ever wanted to try Warhammer? Or are you looking to play Warhammer with more people?

Join us to paint, build and battle at The Devil’s Porridge Museum’s Warhammer Club.

Currently, we are focusing on Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar, but we may add more themes in the future depending on demand and interest.

It is free to join us for Warhammer Club and all materials are provided at The Devil’s Porridge Museum. If you would like to bring your own Warhammer supplies you would be welcome to do so.

Arts and Crafts Club 2026

When is Arts and Crafts Club?

Arts and Crafts Club will return after the school summer holidays in September 2026. Exact date to be confirmed.

This activity will then run on Mondays from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.

 

What is Arts and Crafts Club?

Arts and Crafts Club is perfect for  7 to 11 year olds.

We’ll craft together and make something awesome! This club is free, just be sure to bring along your imagination and all other materials will be provided. You never know what we’ll be making!

Places are limited. Booking is essential.

Cordite Club

When is Cordite Club?

Cordite Club will be returning on Monday 7th September 2026.

This runs fortnightly outside of the school holidays from 1pm to 3pm.

What is Cordite Club?

Our Cordite Club is fortnightly lunchtime club for retired people who take part in bingo or tombola and an activity which changes each time. This is £4 per person.
