Elizabeth Geddes 1888

Elizabeth Geddes was born on 8th September 1888 at 26 Harbour Head , Buckie, Banffshire to Peter Geddes a fisherman and Elizabeth nee Reid.

1891 – living at 26 Harbour Road [Head], Buckie She is the youngest of 2 children. B/G

1901- now 5children. No father or older brother. Both fishermen so possibly at sea. Mother listed as married not widowed.

WW1 – employed as a munition worker at Gretna.

29th January 1919 married John Young,  Sgt Liverpool Scottish, Gretna Parish Church . He the son of a fisherman and his address given is “ on leave from France”.  Elizabeth’s address is  2 East 16 Township Occupation  Munition worker

The trail goes cold following the marriage record so there is no evidence to tell us when and where she died.
