Biography

 The Annandale Observer is not currently digitized, however a volunteer on this project is manually searching the physical copies of this paper stored at The Devil’s Porridge Museum. Lowe was mentioned in the AO on 01/02/1918 at p. 2 and column 1. She was described as a Sewing Room Worker  living at 1 Downie’s Wynd, Annan and the details of the entry were ‘Tribunal charge taking jersey and scarf out of factory.’

 

Appeared in Dumfries and Galloway Standard; January 30th, 1918 under heading ‘Appropriation of Jerseys’, took a scarf without permission and was fined £1.
