Biography

(From FB History Group): ‘Annie and Jeanie/Jean Armstrong born and lived Dornock/ Eastriggs, great aunts of my mum’s. Mum says both worked on cordite 1916-18 after working domestic service for Dr Smith, St John’s Rd, Annan. Both married men who came to work at the factory. Annie married Charles Graham, born Longtown. He served as policeman in Liverpool until injured by a runaway horse. Worked as policeman at factory and possibly lived at Browhouses. Married 1918.’
