Biography

Letter from Hilda’s granddaughter:My grandmother did talk about her time at Gretna but I don’t really remember much of what she said. I know that she really enjoyed her time working there and that she met her future husband while she was at Larne (Larne Naval Base in . I do remember her talking about an accident at the factory which resulted in some fatalities but she said it was a night where she wasn’t on shift. I’ve no idea if that is true or not. I asked my 96 year old uncle if he remembered his mother talking about her time in Scotland and Ireland but he doesn’t have any recollection.
