James Cecil Wallace Auld, born on 9th January 1891 at Dennistoun, Lanarkshire, was the only child of Reverend William Auld and Emily nee Wallace
1891 -living at The Manse, Carnock Fife . Mother 33 and father 37.
Attended Dunfermline High School- date uncertain
1909 – joined the Seaforth Highlanders
14th September 1912 married Mary Hillhouse Gowans at Glasgow . Aged 21 an engine fitter of 20 Drive Road ,Govan and she aged 19 of 17 Drive Rd, Govan. They went on to have 9 children
1917 – employed at Gretna as a Foreman engineer.
April 1917 son born registered at Dornock. Described as a mechanical engineer of G 10 Eastriggs
Dumfries and Galloway Standard – Saturday 02 June 1917
“ROBBERY AT Dornock Robert Douglas Gibson Henderson , labourer, Back Lowthertown, Dornock was accused with having on 26th May stolen a containing a purse with about 20s in money from Margaret Barton, housekeeper, A 1, Eastriggs, in Cemetery, and in a field adjoining the cemetery assaulted James Cecil Wallace Auld, foreman engineer, G 10, Eastriggs, Dornock, and Robert Wotherspoon, engineer, Jutland House, Eastriggs, and threatened stab them with knife.”
He went on to call one of his sons born in 1923 , Robert Wotherspoon after his friend

1937 at St Ronans Hill Rd, Yoker pleaded not guilty to careless driving
Feb 1941 whilst living apart from his wife- set fire to firestacks on farms in Dunfermline and sent to prison for 9 months.
September 1972 – died at Ware Hertfordshire aged 81
