1907-1909 – attended preparatory school in Whitby followed by N Eastern County School, Barnard Castle (Mechanical engineer record)  

 

1914 – graduated from Durham University in Pure Science 

 

May 1917- February 1919 – employed at H M Factory Gretna as a Lieutenant in eth Royal Engineers living at B4 Eastriggs. Possibly employed as a chemist.  

 

Q3 1919 – Married Harriet Irene Coy in Newcastle. Harriet could possibly have also been employed at Gretna.  

 

1924 – empoyed at Paisley, Scotland 

 

1927- resigned as a member of the British Association of Chemists  

 

1929 – chemical engineer and departmental manager  

 

26th February 1970- died at St Brelade, Jersey, Channel Islands aged 76.
