Mary’s first child was born out of wedlock – Henry Alexander Chodak Parker was born 9th June 1919. Mary went to court to claim from little Henry’s father for financial help in Sheriff Court Paternity Decrees, 1792-1922. Unfortunately, Henry Alexander Chodak Parker died before his first birthday in 1920. After her marriage, Mary and Matthias Bateman had a daughter, Jane Thomas Parker born in 1930.
