Peter Toner was born in 1863 to Ellen Honan ( Toner?) in Carlisle. Father unknown.
1871 – no record for Peter or his mother
1881 – 6 Saddle Lane Court, Carlisle – a visitor , marble mason aged 17.
24th May 1881 – joined 25th Foot – King’s Own Scottish Borderers
1891 – lodger at 30 Bridge Street, Caldewgate , Carlisle . Stone Mason
1901 – 22 Queen Street, Carlisle. Mother a widow aged 69
1902- mother died
1911 – living at 11 Queen Street, Carlisle in 2 rooms with 2 boarders. Hot potato seller own account
WW1- too old for military service. No electoral register data so possibly living at Gretna in a hostel employed in manual work.
