LOCAL MAN’S DEATH IN ANNAN The death has occurred, after a fortnight’s illness, of Mr Alexander A. Reoch, Addison Place, Annan. Forty-seven year of age and a native of Montrose, Mr Reoch went to work at Gretna Munitions Factory during the last two wars and then started a business on his own account as a painter and decorator in Annan. For several years he carried out large contracts in new housing schemes in various parts of the country, including the south of England, and he had earned a high reputation as a craftsman. A member of his church choir and of Annan Male Voice Choir, Mr Reoch was an ardent Freemason, being Past Master of Lodge Caledonian and a past first principal of Robert Bruce Royal Arch Chapter. He is survived by his wife, a daughter of the late Mr William Burnie, Annan, and by his mother and two brothers and two sisters.
