Arthur Lewis Blackburn was born in 1860 a Middlestown, near Wakefield, Yorkshire, to John and Alice nee Marsden  


1881- lodging at Ossett near Dewsbury, Yorkshire. Workimg as a coal miner.  


30th April 1881, married Rachel Balmforth/Bamforth at Netherton near his birthplace of Middlestown. He was a miner living in Ossett (marriage Banns)  


1891- 36 Lily Lane, Abram, Lancashire. County Police Officer. 5 children.  


1901- 22 George Street, Hindley, Lancashire. 7 children, 6 girls and 1 boy. A police sergeant.
