CROPPED DOWN DEAD. Morecambe Man Dies at Railway Station. Mr. Chas. Handley, of ” Chinford.” Thornton Road, Morecambe, left his house on Friday morning to go to Kendal by the 7-35 train out of Euston Road Station but on arrival at the Station was seized with sudden illness. He went into the waiting room and was there seen to fall to the floor. Porters Common and Atkinson went to his assistance, and Dr.Glegg was sent for. Death. however, appeared to have been almost instantaneous. The facts were reported to the Coroner, but no inquest was consider necessary. Mr. Handley, who was 67, came from Kendal to reside in Morecambe three years ago,…” Morecambe Guardian Saturday 29th December 1928
