1911 – 12 Humberville Terrace, Immingham, Lincolnshire. A driver in dock construction, nephew to the householder (Father’s sister – Ann Wild)
9th June 1915 – attested to Royal Navy
1917/1918 at H M Factory Gretna, listed on Electoral Register as a sailor living at India House, Dornock.
January 1917 married his fist cousin Maria Wild at Longtown. Subsequently had 8 children.
