Elizabeth Ellen Braithwaite 1887-1974

Elizabeth Ellen Denny was born in Blackpool, Lancashire in August 1887 to John and Mary Ann [Annie] Harriet nee Bond.

1901 – 48 Eston Terrace, Clitheroe. Father a railway book keeper. Mother much younger than father. 5th of 6 children B/B/B/B/G/G

1911- still living at 48 Easton Terrace, Clitheroe, 6 rooms. Father has remarried and has had at least 3 children with this second wife. He is a railway clerk.

WW1 – employed at Gretna as indicated in 1921 census

1921 – living in Blackburn district. Elizabeth E Harry, James A and 4 others are on this record. Elizabeth is listed as an ex Gretna worker.

1933 February- married Walter Limbert at Clitheroe, Lancashire

1966- living at 36 Newton Street, Clitheroe

23rd September 1974- died at 36 Newton Street, Clitheroe aged 87
