Biography

Email from member of the public, May 2021: I just want to pass on to you a piece of information I collected on our last trip to the UK in 2016. We were in Halifax and went to a WWI exhibition. There was an interesting item that I recorded. Joseph Edgar Spencer, a plumber and glazier, faced tribunal for refusing to serve in 1916 because he was a Christadelphian. He was sent to HM Factory in Gretna and assigned work of national significance.
