Lizzie Cook Wilson was born at Apple Tree Inn, Brigham near Cockermouth, Cumberland on 11th May 1892 to William and Susan[na]nee Park.
1891- father was a general labourer.
1901- living at Apple Tree inn. Father a labourer in limestone quarry Lizzie is the 5th of 6 children. G/G/B/G/G/G
1911 –no evident census data for Lizzie.
October 1919 married Robert Corlett in the Cockermouth resgistration district .
WW1-“During the first World War Lizzie worked at HM Munitions Factory Gretna, where she climbed very high ladders in the factory to monitor the dials. She did not want to work on the factory floor because of the number of girls that were being carried out presumably because of the fumes from the Cordite devil’s porridge mix.” – from a public tree on Ancestry.
1939 – living at Sharrow Cottage No 1, Howtown. Husband – gardener. 3 daughter on the register.
5 Oct 1988 died in Hospital in Penrith aged 96 of 2 Sharrow Cottages, Howtown, Ullswater.
