1891- living at Low House Crossing , Wetheral, father a railway signalman. May is the 5th child
1901 – Still at Low House Crossing. Now a younger sister.
1917 – engaged in munitions at Gretna and living at 34 Close Street, Carlisle. Assisting at weekends at Englethwaite Aux. Hospital. Source – Red Cross Records ( Located in Englethwaite Hall, Armathwaite in the Eden Valley.
1921 – Mellow, Hayfield, Derbyshire. May, Horatio Arthur and lily are on this record
3rd June 1922 married Herbert Godsell Attwood in Penrith Registration District
