1911-4 Blackwell Rd, Carlisle. 6 rooms. Father and Robert ( 16) are milk dealers . He is the second of 6 children, 5 surviving G/B/G/G/B
WW1- employed at Gretna.
Q4 1919- married Sarah E Bell, Carlisle who lived at 6, Harraby Green Road, Carlisle in 1911 ( see address below for 1924)
1921- listed as an ex Gretna worker in Carlisle. Robert James Meervay,[Murray], Joseph, Annie and 2 others are on this record
19th September 1924 – arrived in Quebec, Canada “ to work on the land”. Current occupation – “ farming”. Address leaving – 6 Harraby Green Road, Carlisle
10th February 1928 died in Ontario, aged 31
His father was killed in April 1941 when Gretna was attacked by a German bomb.
