Sarah Jane Conchie nee Blades was born in Q3 1872 at Plumpton, Penrith, Cumberland to James and Sarah nee Steel. She was baptised on 31st August 1872.
1881 – father an agricultural labourer/ Living at Plumpton. 2nd of 4 children.
1891- 14, Crown Square, Penrith. Mum widowed and living on own means.
9th January 1900 – married Charles Conchie in Penrith Registration District. A stationary engine driver and fell runner along with his brothers. He has a missing arm.
1901- Wickersgill, Shap. Husband a stationary engine driver. Daughter and son.
1911-Barleythorpe Oakland, Rutland. Husband working as a night watchman in a hunting stable. 4 rooms. Had 7 children including twins. 1 died.
26th September 1917 – husband died at the Factory hospital, Gretna of influenza and pneumonia. He is buried at Rigg cemetery.
WW1 employed with husband at H M Factory, Gretna living at 5A West. (electoral register) Only Sarah appears on this register for 1918/19
25th November 1929- died at Newsham General Hospital (formerly Belmont Road Workhouse), Lancashire
