William Wallace Finley/Findley/Finlay was born on 19th April 1870 at 78, South Street, Toxteth Park, West Derby, Liverpool to James an dIsabella

1871 – address as above. James a licensed victualler. William the 5th child.

1881- mother widowed and now a licensed victualler at 22 Kingsland Road, Tranmere. There is a 2 year old therefore father had recently died. Now 9 children

8th July 1903 married Charlotte ‘Lottie’ Callcott in Liverpool. William a cattle expert of Seymour Street.

WW1 – too old for military service, employed at Gretna

1921 – William Wallace, Charlotte, Cecil and 1 other are listed at Kirkandrews Nether, Longtown. William an ex Gretna worker

1939 15 Denman Drive, Liverpool. Mining prospector retired

25th January 1943 died of Carcinoma bronchus at Belmont Hospital, Liverpool of 124 Shiel Road, Liverpool aged 73
