1891-  living at 38 Albert Street, Rugby, Warwickshire. Father a Congregational Minister, Hamilton the eldest of 2 children.

1901- at 1 Rock Avenue, Barnstaple, Devon. Now eldest of 3 children. An apprentice warehouseman.

6th February 1910 – married Alice Shapland at Ilfracombe, Devon. Alice is 10 years his senior.

1918 – at 35 Delhi Road, Eastriggs with wife employed at H M Factory, Gretna. (Valuation roll and electoral register). No occupation is listed.

1939- a widowed music teacher living in Ilfracombe. His daughter lives with him.

12th January 1951, died at North Devon Infirmary, Barnstaple, North Devon aged 69 of ‘Kiloran’, Croftswood Villas, Ilfracombe.
