Mentioned in the Sheffield Daily Telegraph, Wednesday 26th January, 1927, as appearing at the Derby Bankruptcy Court, of West Avenue, Derby. The examination was closed. (3)
Mentioned also in the Derbyshire Advertiser and Journal, 21st. January 1927, he stated his cause of failure was “ Having to keep up a position at Gretna with insufficient salary to do it, spending beyond my income and later having to keep up my house in Gretna and live at furnished rooms at Derby”. The case was left in the hands of the official receiver. (3)
In the Derbyshire Advertiser and Journal 25th March 1927, it reports he was ordered by the court to pay his creditors £5 a month. (3)
