1891 – 36, Scott’s Street, Annan. An apprentice baker. Grandmother head of house. Mother unmarried
Q2 1897- married Margaret Isabella Chalmers at Carlisle
1901- 4 Hodgson’s Terrace, Stanwix, Carlisle. A journeyman baker
1911- 1 halfway House , London Road, Carlisle. A tramway motorman. 3 rooms. Married with 5 children.
WW1 – too old for military service. Employed at Gretna
