Living History Weekend 2022 took place on 30th to 31st July 2022. Here’s a look back at Living History Weekend’s success for anyone who missed out and another chance to see some of the great photos taken at The Devil’s Porridge Museum.

Outside The Devil’s Porridge Museum The Scottish Homefront Living History Society led the opportunity for people to get an insight into the past, with military vehicals, clothing and object handling and more. It was great to see a large number of people enjoying themselves and having fun, dispite the wet weather on Saturday.
Inside The Devil’s Porridge Museum On War Service had a display of World War One objects with an emphasis on medical care and lots of object handling opportunites. They also held some fascinating talks with artefacts, props and photos. It was brilliant to see a high turnout for these talks!
Over the whole weekend it was fantasic to see many visitiors enjoying themselves while learning about the history of World War One and World War Two. Some of The Devil’s Porridge Museum’s volunteers and staff even had chance to get involed in the fun too!
