
Our latest Monthly Roundup is for the 16th June to 20th July 2025 is below, but before we start we would like to share that The Devil’s Porridge Museum has been honoured to be shortlisted in the Inclusion Award in the South of Scotland Thistle Awards in 2025! A huge thank you to all our amazing volunteers and staff, not to mention the support of all our visitors and regular attendees! It is a privilege to be shortlisted alongside Airhouses and The Great Tapestry of Scotland. We would like to congratulate all the nominees (a shout-out to Mostly Ghostly who we were delighted to work with in October last year and nearby attraction Annandale distillery, who have also both been nominated in different categories) and wish everyone best of luck! We will see you all on October 2nd 2025 at GG’s Yard in Laggan!

Monday 16th June 2025
Our Monthly Roundup kicks of with a very busy day.
In the morning it was lovely to welcome a group visit to The Devil’s Porridge Museum. A huge thank you to them for joining us. If you would like to bring a group to the museum, find out more by clicking here>
Excellent to have our Cordite Club of retirees back in the museum for some lunch and then they went on a trip to Annan Cinema, where they watched new film ‘The Salt Path.” A huge thank you to Annan cinema for having us. Take a look at some photos of this event below.
Our Arts and Crafts club were also in this afternoon. Thanks to Wendy and all the young people who join us for this.

Monday 30th June 2025
It was super exciting to have a new exhibition “Factory Fashion” being installed at The Devil’s Porridge Museum today. This is a travelling exhibition was created by Rotherwas Munitions Factory Project and we were thrilled to have them help us install the exhibition. The last Cordite Club until after the school holidays was on today. As well as enjoying afternoon tea, card bingo and a quiz, Elizabeth from the Rotherwas Munitions Factory Project kindly took the time to give them a talk about the new factory fashion exhibition. We were delighted to have her join us for this and below are a few photos of this.
Later, we were delighted to have Elizabeth give another fascinating, free, talk to the public about the Factory Fashion exhibition. A huge thank you to her, Rotherwas Munitions Factory Project and everyone who joined us for this.
